    • sb = spacing of bars being developed
    • st = spacing of transverse reinf, if present
    • n = number of bars being developed
    • At = total area of transverse reinf.
    • db = bar diameter
    • c = clear cover
    • cc = edge distance from bar centerline
    • cb = lesser of cc and s/2
    • Kt = factor for contribution of confining reinforcing
    • db = bar diameter
    • Ψt = casting position factor
    • Ψe = bar coating factor
    • Ψs = bar size factor
    • Ψg = reinforcing grade factor
    • λ = lightweight factor
